Rainwater Harvesting System and Landscape Design – Los Gatos, CA

This one-acre of landscaped garden is irrigated by the 10,000-gallon rainwater system housed in above ground tanks.

The erosion and storm water management challenges caused by the steepness of the slope were met by running the overflow from the rainwater tanks into a cascading water feature, helping to divert storm water into a retention pond below.

Native plantings were established to stabilize the hillside and reduce soil erosion, replacing invasive and exotic plantings.demo_projects_rwh-aptos2
